Sociological studies of games, roleplaying game and computer games, in particular, are always interesting. There are as many approaches to studying games and those who play them as there are games, so the insights can sometimes be surprising. There’s not necessarily as much new insight as I hoped, but the way games inform culture or have a culture of their own is worth a read.
